The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the banker of banks in our nation invited applications for recruitment at 506 posts of 'assistant'.

An online test and an interview was conducted to short list the eligible candidates. The online exam was segregated into five parts namely, Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness, Test of Computer Knowledge. Each section carried 40 questions carrying 40 marks each, forming the total to 200 marks.

The online examination for the Assistant post was conducted on 23, 24, 25, 26 and 28 September 2014. Date and time of the interview was mentioned on the call letters, which were downloaded from the RBI's website by mentioning the registration number or roll number and Date of birth or password.

The selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs 8, 860 per month (i.e. Rs 8, 040 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates only) in the scale of Rs 8, 040- 410 - 9270 - 500 - 11,270 - 550 - 13,470 - 650 - 15,420 - 720 - 16,140 - 990 - 20,100.
